Engineered for high ambient light and rugged outdoor applications across Australia
In high ambient light environments, such as the direct sunlight experienced across Australia, standard displays suffer from severe reflection and glare. This is caused by the refractive index mismatch between the cover glass (approximately 1.52), the air gap (1.0), and the LCD polarizer (approximately 1.50).
When light passes through these boundaries, approximately 4.5% of the light is reflected at each interface. In a standard display with an air gap, this results in a total reflection of nearly 9%, rendering the display unreadable unless a high-power, heat-generating backlight is used.
Optical Bonding solves this by filling the air gap with an Optically Clear Adhesive (OCA) or Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive (LOCA) that matches the refractive index of the glass. This eliminates the internal reflective surfaces, reducing total reflection to less than 0.2% and dramatically improving contrast ratio and readability under direct sunlight.
From the Outback to the Pacific Coast, our displays are built to withstand extreme environments
Operating in the Pilbara or Hunter Valley requires equipment that resists high vibration, dust ingress, and extreme thermal cycling. Our optical bonding process increases mechanical shock resistance by up to 300% and prevents dust condensation inside the display.
Saltwater corrosion and high humidity lead to internal fogging in standard displays. By eliminating the air gap, our bonded displays prevent moisture penetration and condensation, ensuring reliable operation for coastal navigation and marine electronics.
Smart city infrastructure in Brisbane or Sydney faces intense solar loading. Optical bonding acts as a thermal conductor, dissipating heat from the LCD panel to the front cover glass, preventing blackening (isotropic state transition) under high temperatures.
Founded in 2010, Guangzhou Xiangrui Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. is a leading manufacturer specializing in the research, development, and production of resistive and capacitive touch panels, cover glass, and high-precision module bonding.

Contact Our Engineering TeamA comparative analysis of Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive (LOCA) and Optically Clear Adhesive (OCA)
LOCA uses a liquid silicone or acrylic-based adhesive cured by UV light. It is the preferred method for large-format displays, curved surfaces, and designs with high step-heights on the cover glass bezel.
OCA utilizes a dry, pre-cut adhesive film. It is highly efficient for smaller, flat displays where thickness uniformity is critical, such as smart watches, medical handhelds, and mobile devices.
