Our resistive touch interfaces are manufactured using a high-reliability PET-on-Glass (PoG) layer architecture. The top layer consists of a robust polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film treated with anti-glare (AG) or anti-scratch hard coatings. Underneath is a high-conductivity Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) layer, separated from a bottom glass substrate by tiny, microscopic spacer dots.
When physical pressure is exerted on the outer surface, the top ITO layer flexes to contact the lower ITO layer, creating a voltage drop that is recorded by the controller. This analog circuit determines the coordinates with precise pixel accuracy, unaffected by non-conductive barriers.
